Scholar since 2022Life of opportunity
Growing up in a small village in Owerri, Ebere never imagined she would one day be studying medicine at the University of Lagos. Her family could barely afford food, let alone school fees.
When EGO discovered Ebere during a community outreach, she was on the verge of dropping out of secondary school. Our scholarship covered her remaining years of secondary education and helped her gain admission to medical school.
"EGO didn't just give me money for school. They gave me mentors who believed in me, tutors who helped me excel, and a community that lifted me up. Today, I am pursuing my dream of becoming a doctor so I can return to my village and serve my community."
Ebere is now in her third year of medical school, maintaining excellent grades and mentoring younger EGO scholars.
"They gave me wings to fly higher than I ever imagined possible."
